Pilot season holds a special place in Kei and Clyde’s lives. It is what was traditionally the fall season in the United States where networks would showcase their new TV shows. Even though that format is changing, their commitment to watching the first episode of a new show hasn’t. In the beginning, Clyde would secure new content and Kei would make color-coded spreadsheets detailing premiere dates and times by network. Now on the TV Pilot Watching podcast, they discuss what makes a great pilot episode plus other TV and entertainment news from two very different perspectives. It is hard to deny the unbelievable success and fandom of NBC’s 2016 break-out hit, “This Is Us”. When Kei & Clyde saw many of their friends exclaiming about the show on social media, they realized that they weren’t talking to each other. So they thought they should do something about it. Over an intense holiday break, they crash recorded the first 10 episodes in time for the winter break premiere and started to unite friends and strangers near and far. It’s been so much fun hearing listeners thoughts, calls, and feeling like they are fully “in”. On to season 2!
